A small step for a pigeon is a big flap for the bird kind
There was a cat in our neighborhood that would stroll on rooftops,
and chase birds off antennas.
But since the day we got this new antenna
the birds completely changed their behavior.

They were not just sitting there.
No.
They would gather
and stay totally frozen for days.
I can’t even say if they’re still alive.
It looks like someone did a nice taxidermy job of a bird family portrait on a branch.

The other day my neighbor Yagi-Uda explained to me...

This new antennas in the hood, condense the signal so tight,
so that the birdz
can watch cooking channels
with their great ability of far sight, tele-
vision!

So day by day,
for months and months
they would be sitting there
and the cat would stress them out
until one day
when the cooking championship was just about to end
the cat jumped on them
and they missed the finals.
And I tell you,
you don’t want to know
what happened to the cat weeks later
after they started watching the animal planet.

A life story about the Electricity family

A newborn baby (an electronic device)
is nourished through the umbilical cord (cable)
between him and his mom. (extension cord)

Mom keeps contact with the rest of the family through the wall.
And every now and then, when god comes (electrical engineer)
he shows them the hierarchy of the family tree. (wiring system in walls)

All the elderly gather in the living room (main electrical panel)
where babysitters (fuses/circuit breakers)
spend most of their break time.
As soon as they hear a baby crying (short circuit)
they jump off to put the baby into sleep, (turn off)
since tears (electric sparkles)
can quickly make a mess. (fire)

On the street in front of the house stands the policeman (ampere meter)
who measure how fast they go to work (the power station).

Since all the citizens work in the same factory, outside of the city
they drive to the suburbs where they take the bus (transmission tower)
and continue the road on the giant highway. (Ultra High Voltage cable)

Going all the way to the factory so frequently (50Hz - 50 times per second)
can be quite stressful and worthless compared to what they get. (220volts)
For some of them (low voltage portable devices)
this is simply too much,
so they quit their job and go on their own.

Some lucky ones find their main source of inspiration
while smiling at the sun. (solar panels)

But most of them become depressed
with no energy or motivation
so they start using drugs. (batteries)

If they are smart enough (rechargeable)
they go to the rehab (charger)
so they can still have some contact with their family.
